The skin is one of the most delicate organs of the body. Often times the condition of your skin will tell people how well you take care of yourself and what kind of products you use or the lifestyle that you lead. I used to think that my skincare regimen was the best for my oily sensitive skin. I had often felt fortunate from others being blessed with blemish free skin and took it upon myself to make sure that I took care of it with diligence and commitment.
I was surprised to find out that I wasn’t doing the best for my skin condition and that I was contributing to the negative effects by introducing commercial and chemically rich products to it. I was visiting a new dermatologist when he asked me if I wanted to look at how my skin looked like magnified. I was more than confident and said yes thinking that my skin would look absolutely flawless and radiant even at magnified levels. I was shocked at what I saw, ridges and cracks and a seemingly dry outer layer. My doctor told me that I wasn’t helping my skin because of the kinds of chemical substances that I introduced to it which corrodes the natural oils of the skin to make it look “even” but in reality only dries it out.
My dermatologist advised me to use all natural products that are chemical free in taking care of my skin. I looked for some really good products on the web and found several cosmetic companies that created “green cosmetics” from all natural botanicals and do not contain harmful toxins. I can’t express how happy I am that I switched to a more natural approach. My skin now looks radiant and is full of natural moisture that maintains a healthy glow.
